And So it Continues

Yesterday I spent two hours trying to get the driveway clear. Here's what it looked like before.

Here's what it looked like after two hours of snowblowing.

What? You can't see much difference. And THAT is the problem. We now have the cars out and parked across the road. This picture is the most telling. This was immediately after I'd cut that bank. (Hint: it should be vertical, not with a lip)

Today, we went to church and then I stayed in. There are supposed to be two more days of this wind, with plunging temps. Should be interesting.

  1. Certainly looks like lots of snow. Do you get streamers off Lake Michigan the way we do off Lake Huron or Georgian Bay?

  3. And I thought my two hours with the snowshovel was a drag. I did at least get the driveway cleared. Just in time for fifty mph winds last night.

  4. We didn't make it to church yesterday. We tried, but I ended up stuck in a snow drift, which after much effort I managed to escape.

Looks this will be a winter to remember. Perhaps it averages out with (was it three years ago?) the year with no winter.

  5. It's no wonder you stayed in after all that work. I'd be horizontal for days.
