I wanted to travel but without a job, I couldn't afford it. With a job I could afford it, but had no time to travel.<br /><br />I was fortunate to be a widow and qualify for social security at age 60. That was when I made the leap. My biggest fear was medical care, I only had COBRA for three years. I went without for almost 2 years and paid cash.
