Ellen, Loretta and I had a mini-adventure today, and we Loretta's kayak got its maiden voyage. We paddled from Ellen's place across Bass Lake to the outlet. Ellen does this nearly every day in the summer. Today we joined her.
Does Loretta's kayak look like its happy?
We paddled across in some choppy waves, but it felt cool and fresh on the water, despite warm temperatures.
This is still holiday weekend for many people, and Bass Lake Outlet at Lake Michigan was packed. Our freshwater ocean is a very popular place in the summer.
The big lake was pretty warm. I would have gone swimming, but forgot to wear my swimsuit under my clothes, and I'm not a big fan of the wet T-shirt look. So we waded for a while, and then paddled back. A perfect outing.
Now I have to get ready to go to work tonight.

Loretta's kayak does look happy and I bet if Loretta's face was showing it would look pretty darn happy too
