If we are on schedule we are sleeping in this bunkhouse tonight. It's offered as a low-cost option at the Gunflint Lodge, where most of the accommodations are much nicer. This is good enough for us! The picture is of one of the participants in the Volunteer Vacation.
It MAY be possible for me to do an "on the spot" post tomorrow. But if I don't get to, please don't be too disappointed.

nice to hear from you from the trails. those bunkbeds at the bunkhouse definitely would be a treat after probably sleeping in tent and sleeping bag most of the time. but after all, that is the joy of the wilderness and hike. take care, and keep us posted.
