    It looks like something at the north pole, but I am sure that is too obvious and we are looking at something totally different :)

    Your photos look beautiful but I have no idea what they are. My first thought was that they looked like frozen pine needles but I know that ice frozen outdoors can produce the most unexpected shapes and views so now I'm curious when you're going to reveal the answer...

    First pic looks like rime ice and snow. The second appears to be ice on pine branch. The third blows my [feeble] mind. It looks like moving water in the background. River or stream bank? Lake Michigan shore? I'll be in suspense until . . .

    Looks like my car windshield in the morning :-) The ice is incredibly beautiful and I love to see it. Pictures are fantastic.

    These are just wonderful! I look for things like this made by ice whenever I'm out, but I've never seen anything even close to as interesting.

    Carol- I sure wish I could say I'd been to the North Pole!

    rainfield- I tried hard to be a sneaky cropper!

    Daria- They look a lot like ice needles, but too opaque

    Chuck- I like your choices, but not even close!

    John- Ha! You know me too well- photographing small dead animals! But, no, not this time

    Ann- I didn't even have to doctor anything to get these.

    Ratty- If we find these outside in the wild, we should definitely celebrate.

    Emma- They are! I'm glad I got to save them at least in pictures.
