Arf, Arf! Mom has to let me have a turn on this A-Z thing, don't you think?
I am 14! Let's see, in people years that's like 98. Hmmm. I don't think the formula works as well when doggies get this old. But I think I'm pretty amazing. I can still walk three miles with mom, but I think she's leaving me home on the long hikes. I don't like it when she comes home smelling of leaves and critters and I didn't get to go.
Anyway. I can help you make it to a bunch of people years too.
Tip #1: Never lose your curiosity. Be ready to go exploring whenever someone walks out the door.
Tip #2: Eat healthy, but take advantage of treats when they come your way. (And don't let anybody steal them)
Tip #3: Get lots of sleep
Tip #4: Laugh at all the jokes, even if they are on you!
(Mom says: I had three other good things for M - Music, Marquette Rail, or Meadowlark, but Maggie insisted!)

Maggie is awesome! I love her tips for Aging. That's a smart pooch!
ReplyDeleteLove her wee jersey but unfortunately I refuse to age gracefully. I will use all the help I can get! :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd Maggie was right in insisting :)
ReplyDeleteLook forward to the rest of your challenge run…can’t believe we’ve had 15 days already!

I love that photo of Maggie in her bed!
ReplyDeleteMaggie is a gorgeous gal - doesn't look a day over 26. Love that snow shot.
ReplyDeleteOh, she is an adorbale old girl! :) I'm so glad you found my blog so I can find you! The challenge has been so fun and I've enjoyed find some really neat bloggers! Your lamb post was adorable, too! :)
ReplyDeleteAww, what a cute girl Maggie is!
ReplyDeleteShe looks like she has fun with everything!
Hey,
ReplyDeleteMaggie is one smart dog!
I have an older dog named Miko, and I'm learning a lot about aging gracefully (and sometimes not so gracefully) from him, too!
Happy hopping!
My friend and I (both in our thirties) keep telling ourselves we're going to age gracefully...wait fifteen years and we may be singing a different tune. LOL.

This is great...not only humor but doggie humor!!

Well Maggie, I think you were the best choice for the letter M. Love your tips for aging and that picture of you sleeping made me laugh
ReplyDeleteI'll definitely keep those tips in mind!

ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog, I like your site.
Your dog reminds me my Black Lab Max who lived to the age of 18 or 19. I look forward to the day when a dog is part of my life again.
Cheers,
Matt
Maggie's a lucky dog to be with such a kind and caring Mom. Fun pictures.
ReplyDeleteJust stopping by on the challenge.
Great tips! Laugh, explore, sleep, and eat well. I will add forgive often.
ReplyDeleteThis is the second post about aging, but your Maggie makes me smile in spite of it. ;-) I love her attitude and think she deserves a treat for all of her good advice!
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting. I'd like to see that onion basket. Did you crochet it?
This is such a cute post, I love that last picture of Maggie! Reading this reminds me of my two dogs and the way it seems they view things. Dogs truly are amazing companions.
ReplyDeleteMaggie, you sure have some great tips! I love the picture of you playing in the snow, and My little Fred is always up for an adventure.
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by. I like your site, and I'm loving meeting new people on this A to Z challenge.
Until your next adventure,
Michelle
Love it! Maggie certainly has age down to an art!
ReplyDeleteAwwwwwww !! Maggie's tips are so spot on !! Look at her - she looks like a lil' baby herself !
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic post, how good of you to let Maggie post; she has some great advice (especially about sleeping!)
ReplyDeleteDogs are pretty doggone smart, aren't they? And they never hold a grudge, either, which is great for the longevity, too. More than halfway through the challenge, now... we can make it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting Maggie have a turn! I really like the picture of her in the orange "jacket" frolicking in the snow.
ReplyDeleteGreat post and beautiful photos of Maggie! She's adorable--and very wise.
ReplyDeleteEllie
Ha :-) another doggie POV, how refreshing and what great pics.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever met Dekota in author Lindsay Downs books? Based on today's blog, I honestly think you'll love them. Her protagonist is a collie dog!
I like this one!! My Grace is aging too, and these are important tips. I also give her Cosequin to keep her joints moving, which helps a LOT. She can still run and chase after the robins who dare to land in our yard.
ReplyDeleteLoved this post! and it all makes sense :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing
