A tree fell across our hosts' driveway, and Jeff was out cleaning up and doing other chores all morning. The animals didn't think it was any big deal. Toby liked giving me kisses.
Meg just said, "Hey, when is it my turn? I want to play ball."
We had power until almost dinner time, but then it went out. With a generator and lanterns all was well. We settled in to play some games, and the power came back on later in the evening.
We are getting ready to go out and try a short hiking day today.

I'm so glad you found a spot with Jeff and Kathy. I've known them for decades--maybe it's half a century by now! They've had an interesting life. . . get them to tell you about it.
