This is a hot summer. No doubt about it. Today was really oppressive, but I was working a good deal of it, and thankfully that building is air conditioned.
Here's how the day started.
The air was hot and still before 9 am. I hung out laundry and there wasn't a bit of breeze to move it around. It was dry before noon.
When I got out of work at 6 pm, the sky was gray and the air was oppressive. Looked like rain, and I was hopeful that would happen.
It did, around 7:30. I wish it would have lasted longer, but what we got smelled and felt great.
Now the air is fresher, and it's at least not roasting outside.

Oppressively hot here too. We got about 39 drops of rain in late afternoon.
ReplyDeleteThat rain just missed us on the north side. Last night's (Thursday) rain did, in kindness, drop 0.3 in of rain on our garden and surrounds.
