The Disclaimer- I DID NOT TAKE THESE PICTURES
I received these pictures in an email today. They are supposed to have been taken in Naubinway, Michigan, which is in the Upper Peninsula about 40 miles west of the Mackinac Bridge. There is also a banner for the St. Ignace News. However the News has a disclaimer printed in October 2007 saying that the pictures never appeared in their paper, and that they have been also reported to come from at least one other state. They warn about things like computer viruses.
Well, what can I say except that I have not seen the pictures before, I have no idea where they were taken, but I think they are adorable. I mean, baby moose are like Cabbage Patch dolls... they are so ugly that I just want to hug them (not a good idea in the real world).
If you've seen these before, you'll have to pardon me, but I just love them.

It's cute in a strange kind of way.
Moose are very rare around here with only a handful of sightings the last couple of years. Lucky me made one. Unlucky me didn't have a camera at the time.
I get a kick out of the Moose bus tours in New Hampshire where they park on the side of the road waiting for one to appear. There they are sitting while a 1/4 mile down the road a moose is waiting for them.

I'm glad you posted them, even with their strange back story which is actually rather interesting. These pictures made me smile as soon as I saw them.
Very cute, but I would not want to see that in my front lawn! Imagine the size of the droppings!!
John- It may have started with a virus attached, and it's "cute factor" would help it be passed on. No virus when I got it.
Hi WiseAcre! nice to see you! We saw a bull moose, very close, in the woods in the Dak's last summer. It was west of the NPT near the center.
Auntie- Moose are used to going pretty much wherever they want. We were so thrilled last summer to have seen one. All the locals just yawned and said they have them in their back yards all the time
Ratty- Who doesn't love a baby, eh?
Lin- The droppings are actually quite manageable. They are pellets, like deer, only a bit larger like large olive size.
