What is that spot in the sky? No, not the red and green UFOs, silly, the bright white one! As Chuck showed you this morning, Michigan skies in winter look quite different... 90% of the time.
So when the sun came out today, I had to go get a Vitamin D fix. I never did believe that stuff about staying out of the sun, and that 30 minutes of sun a week would provide enough vitamin D. And now, the "experts" have decided that more sunlight is good. Ha! I knew it!
Sun makes the world un-flat! Look how the shadow of a very ordinary bush curves down that snowdrift.
It even makes an old fence into a geometric work of art.
Finally, I like this one a lot. I think I went to Antarctica today. It looks so much like some pictures taken by Shackleton's photographer. Well, I can pretend. I don't have to admit that it's just where the snowplow threw the snow.

Whether the plows threw it or not, it looks like pictures I've seen of Antarctica. Good grief, that is a lot of snow!!
The sun made great shadows on the snow. I'm sure you enjoyed feeling its warmth for a little while.

hahahaha, you made me laugh Sharkbytes, I a lot of the times would take picture like that of snow plow too and pretend it is in Antartica or in Arctic :)
I love your info about the sunlight, our natural source of Vit D :) My hubby, if he does not get sun, he gets really bad rashes :(

betchai- Are you also a wannabe polar explorer? Have you read Ordinary Women? Interesting about your hubby- some people get rashes from being in the sun.
Lin- well, I like it either way, but sometimes the sun is a real perk!
That last one really does look like Antarctica. This all goes to show that all of this white snow really can be fun and different. I'm glad I'm not the only one that sees some beauty in winter.

haha, yes, Sharkbytes, we hope to be able to explore the Arctic and Antartic someday, we just love all faces of nature.
my hubby has psoriasis, and that's what the doctor told him, to help him free from the rashes, he should get daily dose of his Vitamin D from the sun ( early morning or late afternoon light ). he gets more rashes during winter.
