While I was taking pictures of the mullein yesterday, I got another nice surprise. I know enough about butterflies to tell this was a Fritillary, but I had to look up which kind. It's an Aphrodite! Speyeria aphrodite

The underwings are really pretty.
That milkweed was providing lunch for more than just the fritillary. More tomorrow!
