This year's Starlight Christmas program was great, as always.
The church is always decorated beautifully.
The choir kicked things off with "Here Comes Christmas."
Each year there is a skit woven into the songs. This time, there was a store window where the manikins come to life and have a little fun with shoppers from time to time. In this scene, they have foiled a thief when he is startled by the manikin talking to him.
As the story goes on, they interact in some other light humorous ways with shoppers, but then they begin to discuss why the holiday season is so important that people would shop for three months. One of them has heard enough people talking to know that the holiday started with the Creator sending his Son to earth. They ponder why so few people seem to think this is more important than shopping.
The pictures you are seeing were chosen on the basis of the ones that turned out. The lighting is low enough that the camera has a lot of trouble focusing. But, here's a young man singing "Jingle Bells."
The final number was "Feliz Navidad."
This program is always excellent, with quality music and some humor, in addition to including the actual point of Christmas.
In other news: Bell Choir played this morning. I haven't shared any videos in a long time because I lost both my conversion and editing software in a computer crash. But I did record this morning's song, and if I'm successful, you'll get to see it later this week.

Sounds like a good program. They sure do a great job of decorating. I like how they did the store window
