What's With the Doll Heads? - Day 75

Remember the creepy doll head on a stick we saw 28 days ago? Here's another. What's up with this "custom?" And this one has multiple faces. It just gets weirder and weirder. doll head on a stick

Other than that, we did a nice 1.5-mile off road section. There was a trail register, and we haven't seen many in Ohio, so that was fun. signing a trail register

It is private property, and there weren't too many problematic trees down. It even had some bridges although we did have to use the plastic bags on the final stream crossing. You can see there was still quite bit of crusty snow. We put the traction devices on our shoes, and that helped a lot. Nevertheless, it was slow going. bridge on a trail in winter

After that, we knocked off some more road miles. Just a couple of nice scenes. More ice curtains, but I thought these were interesting because you can see where the water was higher and melted the bottoms off level. And then some new drips formed after that. ice curtains by a creek

This was just a small falls on a creek near the road. Its only claim to fame is that I liked it. small waterfall

The temperature hung in the mid-twenties all day, but it felt raw. Neither of us was ever really warm, but neither were we too cold. The important thing is that we got 'er done!

Miles today: 13.9. Total miles so far: 968.4.
