Lyghtekeeper Has Gone to the Light

Kathleen Gabrielle

I got home yesterday from hiking. Hubby had just returned from Kathleen's funeral. Her blog contains clue #18- set up weeks ago, of course. She battled chronic and difficult health problems all of her adult life, but never gave in to despair or depression. As you search for the next to the last clue, celebrate Kath's spirit of hope with her.

Since I was on the backpacking portion of the hike, the rest of the family decided to not try to track me down. I am both grateful for their thoughtfulness, and sad to have missed celebrating Kath's home-going. She was the youngest of the four siblings, and is the first to leave, so there are many conflicting emotions.

She had been single for many years, but her ex-husband died unexpectedly early this year, so her son has lost both parents in the past 8 months.

I'll be back to more regular posts soon.

Rebecca- She was always the one to cheer us up, when she was the one who was ill or in pain!

Glynis- We will miss her, but she was in so much pain the past few months...

J- lots of memories, and a strong belief and hope in her complete health now, in the presence of God.
