Wow! It's been a long time since I've blogged about things outside! I'm starting with a couple of photos that I actually took a couple of weeks ago. On an icy day, Maggie and I did a road walk. I liked the way that the snow was piled against this tree. Then I had a little fun playing around with it.
Here is just the shape of the cone of snow with the edges enhanced. From stark gray and white, I'll leave you with tonight's sunset. It was great to see the sun today, although it already made the new snow too sticky to ski.

Your snow has somehow blurred my eyesight. That makes the sunset being too glary.
Beautiful sunset you have there sharkie :)
love the sunset!
Love the sunset picture! I don't miss shoveling snow, though. None here in the Philippines.
Love all of these. The sunset is stunning however I really love the first one. It looks almost like a sculpture, very creative.
The sunset is lovely. I also like the effect of the first photo.
Cold days are fine. Costs more to heat, but the road is plenty firm, and the car doesn't come home encased in slush.
That's some beautiful sunset there. I like the effects you used on the other two pictures very cool
Love the sunset picture. I do envy you your snow. It's getting muggy really early around here. Thanks for joining my contest, btw. :)
That top photo looks like a pencil sketch, that's very cool!
wow, you have such beautiful sunset Sharkbytes, love it.
The sunset is a spectacular contrast to your stark winter scenes which are beautiful in their own right.
rainfield- it sure was a contrast!
Vanilla- we do a lot of GRAY in the winter, so I'm inspired to catch the pretty sunsets when we can actually see them.
wenn- thanks, and thanks for the award. I may get it posted tomorrow.
David- oh... I feel sorry for you, with no snow ;-)
Hi Jo- I just love that mathematical curve of the snow wrapped around the base of the tree, and when I played with the image it made the tree fade out and the cone pop.
Rebecca- thanks!
Hi Chuck- Yeah, dirt roads can get pretty messy. Spring is the worst.
Ann- In the photo you tended to look at the tree and not see the shape of the cone. So I liked how this made the tree less overpowering.
Ivy- Muggy- ugh! I HATE muggy. Well, I really could use the stickers, so I was motivated to play.
Hi Lynne- I think it was the charcoal effect
betchai- It was a nice one, for sure!
Carmen- thanks- I liked the contrast too... two very different looks at winter.
I like playing with the pictures like that. Yours turned out good. Mine are usually not so good.
Hi Ratty- Well, I trashed several before I kept these. I just fool around till I like what see.
I like the first picture with the snow covered, and your sun set is awesome!
