NCTA Celebration - It's a Wrap - Day 312

I chose an all-day event today, although I didn't know it was all day until we were on the bus! It was fine. Wheae did a couple of short hikes on places I'd been last month, and heard a short presentation on mining history. I spent a fair amount of time trying to get to know the Next Generation Coalition. These are younger adults who sign on for two years to be involved in the trail association. "We" are trying to figure out ways to engage and involve new people. There are guys involved in Next-Gen too, but it just happened that these four are women: Tessa, Steph, Felicia, and Madeline.

The evening speaker was Emily Ford, who hiked the Ice Age Trail (1200 miles) in winter. I couldn't seem to get a good picture with the dark background. Not only was she inspirational, she made us laugh a lot.

There were tons of hugs and "see-you-next-years." 2023 is going to be in the Adirondacks!

Meanwhile, I'll be back on the trail tomorrow.

See Packing the Day
