I'm really too tired to do a good posting tonight. The Earth Day Event was very busy, and I talked to a ton of people. That's good, but I have to work really hard at that skill. Then I went to a Saturday night church service. Pooped.
I've been working hard this month to finish sorting the pictures from our big Minnesota hike last May. I'm almost done! Everyone has been waiting for months to get their copies. I'm really slow.
Anyway, I discovered that I did take a fairly good picture of a loon. So, I'll just let you enjoy that tonight. See you tomorrow.

I like the loon. I don't think they come around here too much. Maybe I'm too clse to the city for them.

Oh, a loon! We saw lots of them on our honeymoon in the Adirondacks. I miss them ...
So that's what a loon looks like. It doesn't look crazy at all, lol.
Ratty- They really only pass by down there. In fact, they only pass by here too, but we may see them on the lakes during migration.
Ann- loons of the feathered kind are really awesome!
Jo- Nope... although we heard them calling a lot on that hike.
Chuck- I'm always a little loony
Lin- nope, not here either, except during migration
Dennis- yes, I would like to be a little farther north where I would hear them all the time.
Ivy- they don't look crazy, but they sound like it. They laugh with an eerie kind of series of calls that one can really fall in love with once you know what it is. The call is the "essence of the north woods."
