Walking today wasn't pleasant. Too wet to ski or snowshoe, too uneven and icy for walking most places. So I went to the back of our property and walked the railroad tracks to Gordon Road and back.
The "bridge" is the overpass above the road.
There's still one of the old mile markers very near our property. This one indicates 130 miles to Saginaw, Michigan. The tracks no longer go that far. They reach only to Baldwin. East from there the right-of-way has become a rail trail. But I guess if I want to walk to Saginaw I know how far it will be!
While I was walking home I heard the train, and soon it came around the bend. Plenty of time to step away from the tracks and catch a couple of pictures. Notice the new paint scheme again. We get one of the nice-looking engines all the time now.
They sure go by fast!

Be careful by the tracks!
My walking outside has been curbed for now. I miss it. Can't wait for a warm day here and there to get back out there.
I get drawn in by train tracks and feel blessed when I get to see a train!
I hope you and yours had a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and are having a very HAPPY NEW YEAR. May we display your header on our new site directory? As it is now, the site title (linked back to its home page) is listed, and we think displaying the header will attract more attention. In any event, we hope you will come by and see what is going on at SiteHoundSniffs.com.
Jerry- nice to see you and thanks so much! Why not let me provide you with a 300x150 graphic. I don't see what category my site is in, but I guess you have it somewhere. email me at jhyshark@gmail.com
