The Harried Harrier

I heard the crows making a ruckus, but I wasn't quite quick enough with the camera to catch a shot of the black marauders chasing and pecking at the northern harrier (used to be the marsh hawk).

I've gotten better pictures of Circus cyaneus before, but I always like snapping a photo that documents a current sighting.

And isn't the sky a lovely shade of blue?

By the way, the hawk just circled around and went right back where it wanted to be, above the cemetery creek.

We got some really good news on Friday the 13th. No celebrations until the final paperwork comes in, but this may be the beginning of the hope to have more time for writing.

Here's hoping it all works out.
