A snow day might imply that we get the day off- as in a snow day when schools close. Nope. Not for us. Here's what it looked like when we started walking!
Who was walking? There was quite a crew. Bill and I, of course, but C.W. and Bonnie Spencer drove two hours to hike with me, and Richard Morgan also came along.
The scenes around Clendening Lake were a lot more dismal than the blue sky and water of yesterday.
It was so wet, we thought we might need to row ourselves home.
But it was hard with no blades on the oars, so we kept walking.
I have to 'fess up and tell you that it was a short hiking day, though. I had a real-world commitment in the afternoon that I couldn't skip. So we stopped early and all went to Deersville General Store for ice cream. It's been voted the best ice cream in Ohio. We are holding fake cones- we had already eaten our helpings of good stuff.
Tomorrow, we'll be back to full mileage.
Miles today: 10.2. Total miles so far: 1269.3.

Wow, you had quite a crew hiking with you. It looks cold but the snow does make for a pretty landscape
Thank you for being so gracious in letting us join you, Joan. CW and I were grateful for the opportunity to share in your journey. The snow really made for a beautiful day. My aches aren't too bad today after I get to moving around. ~Bonnie
Ann- It was pretty- just wet!
Bonnie- it was great to see you. Glad you aren't too sore.
Lulu: "Hmm, yeah, that little boat does seem to have a few issues ..."
