Why does she keep looking up?

Because she built a nest on top of the light box. No peeps emanating yet.

There was also a trip to Riverside Park for an interview. Spring is coming along nicely now! Compare to the same view in March at the link below.

In other news: Marie left early in the morning, and I went back to bed for a while. The trailer door did not leak. I chained myself to my computer and edited all day.

What a sweet little bird.
Aw! That is something exciting to watch for. We spied the orioles in the next yard yesterday. I am excited for them to come visit our jelly feeder. We had to remove our redbud yesterday, so all of the birds are a little confused with the feeders moved and on hooks in the garden. New tree coming soon!
Charlee: "Time to do some bird-watching!"
Chaplin: "And tail-swishing!"
Charlee: "And maybe a little chattering, too!"
Ann- they can be LOUD, but this one is the female, and so far no strident PHOEBE calls.
Lin- Bummer about your tree. Glad you can replace it.
Charlee and Chaplin- I bet we have some birds you don't... you could expand your educational bird watching.
