A Shell Game

Too hot to care about much. And it's the week of the paper route for me again. I promise to keep looking for good things. And you won't know if I'm cheerful or not. The internet is really good for some things.

I like things that look like other things. Here's an example.

bridge abutment

It's just a plain old bridge abutment, but with greenery giving definition to the cracks and some extra bushes for seaweed, it looks like a scallop shell at the bottom of a clear sea.

That's all for today.

I still can't make out what the picture is even though you said what it is. Just stopped by to say hi. Feel I have been neglecting my comment duties lately.

Your imagination went wild in the heat.

I can see that.

My first impression of that image is of the hull of a long abandoned boat.

Great shot and it does look like a scallop!

I like how the right angle or a little cropping can make something look much more pleasing than what it really is.
I also like the fact that when I'm doing my posts no one can tell how grumpy I might really be :)

I looked at the picture first, and the first thing I thought was that it looked like a shell.

rainfield- that's it! the heat

vanilla- sometimes that's all I can see

Chuck- the imagination does wonderful things

reena- such a mundane thing, but it was transformed

Ann- yes, you "get it"

Ratty- hooray! great minds and all that.
