Although I took these pictures yesterday, they are perfect for today. Yesterday morning was sunny, but just before noon snow started falling steadily, and that has been the case ever since. Off and on, at least.
These pictures are taken in a swampy area that is generally the headwaters of the Big Sable River, the one that empties into Lake Michigan at Ludington State Park. I just like the way they look, and that's good enough for a quality day.
This picture has not been reduced to black and white, but it's hard to tell, isn't it? You can see a bit of green and brown on the right edge.
This area, thick with watercress floating on the water, and cedars, seems to defiantly remaining green despite the winter white.
Back to the newspaper job tomorrow.

Loving the winter/ice photos from the last two days and sooo happy that you got new tires for all that driving on ice. So far the ice and snow has missed Florence even though it was snowing on the school further south in our district and many schools are closed tomorrow in other districts.
Send some of that snow our way :)
Folks around here would like some of that snow. Our church's annual chili dinner and sleigh ride is Saturday and the fields are mostly bare. Looks like wagon wheels instead of snow runners this year. :(
It is neat to note those small patches of color when the snow turns the world mostly white on black. Glad you took the pictures, though. Not me.
We have snow too at the moment. It's quite unusual here and probably won't last long. The news is full of stories about it across the UK. I love your pictures, which could have made me shiver if I hadn't a;ready been feeling a bit that way.
