J is for Jeune Jeanne Jeune port Jaune

This is an old joke (to me), but I haven't put it on the blog before, and here we are at J. I couldn't find the picture I wanted of me in a really nice yellow dress, but this one will do.

My name in French is Jeanne Jeune, Joan Young. So if I have a picture of me when I was young, that would be Jeune Jeanne Jeune. Now, all we have to do is put me in yellow, and we have Jeune Jeanne Jeune port Jaune (young Joan Young wears yellow).

Here you go, and you get another picture of Steve thrown in too.

merry go round

Notice Steve's death grip on the zebra ears? He would NOT get off that ride. It's the free carousel at Holland, Michigan, and he must have ridden it for nearly an hour. Personally, I had lost some interest by that time...

Here's Vieux Jeanne Jeune port Jaune just a couple of years ago.

Kekekabic trail sign

Oh, you want help with vieux? (shhhh... old)

I really did look for the picture of me in a yellow dress. Honest.

looks like you are not having much trouble finding topics to fit the alphabet!

I suppose it doesn't look like I'm having trouble either. After all, once a post is published, the reader has no idea what was left out, or passed over. As we always said in video production, the viewer never knows what got cut.

Glad to have you stop by so I could discover your lovely blog. Keep hiking!

What a fun play on words your name allows!

Steve's expression makes me laugh - it's like hurry up and take the picture already so I can get back to having fun.

Wishing you continued success with the A to Z challenge,
Jocelyn

Yellow is such a lovely colour. Reminds me of Spring when the Sun shines against a lush background. Oh, yes, I can see how Steve is holding onto the Zebra's ear. :)

Whoa. How do you keep track of all those "J's" in your French name? That's a real mind twister!

Loved the play on words! Ofcourse I'd ruin it by pronouncing it.

Also, thank you for visiting my blog!

Love the play on words! (And I guessed vieux correctly but insist that it's not so true. ;))

Good luck in trying to visit every A to Z blog! I can't imagine managing to get around to all of them.

What a great shot of you and Steve, you have aged gracefully, I must say.

What a great name. Love it! And I don't blame Steve at all. What fun!

Yellow's overrated. Ha!

Wonderful pictures. Thank you for sharing them.

I'm inspired!

What fun to see the picture of the youthful Joan enjoying the carousel with Steve. I think I might have had vertigo after more than a few spins. I like the more mature Joan just as well, though..maybe because she's more my age.
