Driving after my programs today (three of them in a row), I passed this road sign. Had to stop and take a picture. This is the name of the town where I grew up. Interlaken. In-ter-LAKE-en. Like as between the LAKES, with a long A, none of this Swiss pronunciation. Anyway.
It just struck me funny, as if maybe I could take that road and travel back in space and time and arrive back in Interlaken to the place and person I was so long ago. Not gonna happen, folks!
In technical terms, there's been a lot of water under too many bridges. And yet, who I am is so deeply rooted in where I came from that I've certainly spent all my life on some segment of that Interlaken road.
That's all the philosophy my brain can come up with tonight. I'm whipped. Going to bed, but not my own bed. Will tell all tomorrow!

The water flows into the mighty lake from which it is lifted up to heaven only to fall upon the earth once more and it flows again under the bridge. Yet the bridge and the stream are not exactly the same.
Where did that come from? I guess you got me thinking.
hello sharkbytes its dennis the vizsla dog hay i like the road calld m23 it sownds like a road ware james bond mite hav his hedkwarters or sumthing!!! ok bye
Chuck- your thoughts inspire more thoughts. The water itself changes the bridge and the stream.
Dennis- M43 means Michigan 43, but I like your coded thoughts.
Ohhhhh, twice I've been in beautiful Interlaken in Switzerland...a fairy tale place near a friend's home where I was privileged to spend a few days. Switzerland is such a beautiful country. Wish I could get back there!!
