It was miserably cold day with a bitter wind. Maggie and I took a short walk, but she RAN for the house as soon as we turned the corner of our trail!
But on the way home from church, we stopped to take a look at the beach and the Ludington Lighthouse. Do these pictures look fuzzy? It's because of the blowing snow!
Here's a short video of how beautiful/ nasty it was! OK, I'm going to try to go to sleep. I'm off to the paper route in the a.m. and Om will be off to the hospital.

Beautiful photos...the video sure makes me want to be there...ha ha. I don't mind seeing some snow, but you can dial down the wind before I come...ok? We finally got above freezing today here in HOT Springs.
See y'all soon...will be praying for Omer tomorrow

i love the photo, the curves on the snow whipped by the wind.
Goodness, I don't blame Maggie for running for home! I think I wouldn't have ventured out! The snowy scenery and waves are beautiful but, with that blustery wind, it has to be bitingly cold. I would have to be wrapped up like a mummy!! I don't envy you getting up to do the paper route.
Hope Om does well with his surgery tomorrow! I think you'll make a great Florence Nightingale.
Wow, that video really looks like it is very cold there. And I love the picture of the snow fence. Haven't seen that in many many moons. Great pictures. Thanks for stopping by our blog.
The wind sounds very hard in the video, and your photos show winter wonderland for sure..
Oh my...I loved the video. I am posting a round the world snow Storm and will link this post to the travels. enjoy the visitors. HAVE A NICE DAY.
Those are beautiful photos!
What gorgeous pictures! I love the lighthouse picture. I'll bet it was quite cold for taking pictures but definitely well worth it.
wow, with such cold wind blowing, it must be very very cold!
It is a long and tough journey to that Lighthouse I guess. Look at how thick the snow is!
I think I've taken a chill just watching that video. Excuse me, I need to warm up my coffee.
It's such a wild and enchanted view! I love the sound of the wind in the video.
what a beautiful scene. I can feel the cold in the video
That does look pretty cold. I get a good idea of the wind in the pictures, but video always does that part better. I think the forests I always travel shelter me from the cold a bit.
Nice shots! Always lovely to see the lake, even in the cold, blustery winter!

Loretta- For you, I'll make it 20 below... just kidding! Can't wait to see you.
betchai- that's what I liked most about it too... those curved snow dunes were great.
Carmen- Well, we didn't go out for long! I'm really a crummy FN, but thanks for thinking well of me!
Marg- Yes, it was very cold. We are doing a little Jan thaw now... several days above freezing.
Icy- It fit your name to a T!
Auntie E- wow, thanks for the link. Some days I really think it is a winter wonderland here. This wasn't really one of them!
Leigh- Thank you!
Hi Garden Gnome- Thanks for stopping by. My garden is resting under more of that white stuff.
Wenn- the wind was the worst of it, but that made it feel terrible.
Vanilla- in the summer, it is a popular downtown stroll, very pleasant. This time of year... potentially deadly if you would slip.
Chuck! You win funniest comment. That was great!
fullet- "enchanted" - I like that.
Ann- yes a video can really capture the cold in ways a still can not.
Ratty- Oh... trees and forest shelter... always great choices!
Loreen- Thanks for stopping by! Aren't you glad you aren't walking it in this weather?
Mary- thanks for visiting. There is just something about lighthouses that draws us in, isn't there?
