Some of the large exhibits were "inspired by" movies. This seemed to mean that they had only a loose connection with scenes from the movie, but nevertheless, brought them to mind. Here are five of those, although a couple are sort of a mixture of recreation and inspiration.
First up is The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. You could make a case that this is something like the set, but not really. The other side of this house is a lawn leading up to a room with the wardrobe. Everything is green and summery on that side, while this side is snowy. That fits, because it was summer in England and winter in Narnia. But the winter side is supposed to be Mr. Tumnus' house, and of course he lived in a snug cave, and the wardrobe took them to the woods, not into the faun's house. But the contrast between the two sides worked well.
This one was inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean, and has little connection with the movie set. It's supposed to be a room like the Captain's cabin might be for relaxing evenings.
Now back to a mixture of fanciful and similar to the set with Winnie the Pooh. If you are thinking that between yesterday and today you've seen a lot of Disney, you would be correct. And there are even more. I don't know if this was planned or just happened, but the whole show was heavily Disney.
This was probably the most creative exhibit in the entire show. I didn't get many good pictures because of the light/dark contrasts. I haven't seen the movie, either. Don't want to sound negative, but I thought this year was short on creativity compared to most years, so I liked this one. It's The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Finally, this one is definitely in the "inspired by" category. It's meant to be the banquet for Cinderella's wedding. You may take a guess as to the appeal of this one to yours truly, but admittedly, it's spectacular.
There are even more large displays based on movies, so there will be at least one more day before we move in for a closer look at plants.

The pictures of these exhibits makes me kind of wish I could have been there to see them myself.
