It Looks Nice Enough

winter blue sky

What is that color in the background? We haven't seen it for a while. It's not that color usually associated with some holiday everyone is celebrating today, It's not covered with those squished circles with a point on one end and two lobes on the other. Truth is, pink makes me nervous and hearts are too... round... sentimental... freeform. I like blue or yellow, squares, things with points and hard edges.

There you have it. I'm blue and prickly, and happy to be so. It was a pretty day, but WINDY. Grand Rapids recorded their windiest Valentine's Day ever with gusts of 40 mph. Here, the pine trees were littering the frozen lawn and I had to bring the tarp that covers the snowblower inside to keep it in the neighborhood.

Valentines Day was fine over here. But we are looking for those winds here today. I hope you didn't send them our way.LOL

I too was happy for the beautiful blue on Valentine's Day. It's nice to see the sky that color instead of the lead-gray we are so used to seeing during a Michigan winter.

nothing wrong with blue and prickly especially if that's what makes you happy :)
It's nice to finally start seeing some blue skies and sunshine. Now if we could just get that darn cold air to move on

I've appreciated the blue skies and warmer weather a lot. But that wind kept me out of the forest. Too many trees fall around here with even the smallest wind.

As nice as the warm weather has been, it has brought windy days here too. The kitties don't like to go out when it it is windy for some reason--they get very scared. It is nice to see the blue sky and sun though, isn't it?

Russ- I guess I wasn't paying attention, because I don't know where they came from, or are going.

Chuck- the blue was awesome! As much as I like winter, it's nice to see the sky.

Ann- glad you can handle blue and prickly!

Ratty- no kidding! All kinds of stuff was falling off the trees. We took a little walk in the open field.

Lin- that seems odd. I wonder what it is that they don't like. Does the wind whistle through the fence or something?

Our were blue, too. You saw our North Carolina daytime moon in a blue sky that I posted on my blog. I took that yesterday. And it was windy, too. We lost all the seed in our bird feeders. That was quite a weather system!
