Twice as Nice

I got to spend today with Bill AND Bob! I'm staying with Bob and his wife Gaye for a couple of days. Bill is on his way home from up north and stopped by for the day.

We went for a short hike on the Michaywe trail system. Bill and I needed to practice doing something that we will be using next month (stay tuned). Bob went along to show us the way because it's his home stomping grounds. That is the upper reaches of the Au Sable River behind them.

The Shadbush (Serviceberry, Juneberry) is blooming.

Back at Bob's house, Bill and I got a little help with trail cleanup from the bear.

We all went out to dinner and then watched a movie. Not only are these guys my trail buddies, and my regular buddies, but they are two class-act guys.

I'll get a picture with Gaye in it before the weekend is done.

Miles hiked in 2025: 168.4.

Lulu: "Hmm, we didn't know bears could help with yard work. Maybe our Dada should hire a few of them ..."

Lulu- this one was good at holding the rake, not so much with any actual raking
