A Quickie at Pentwater Pathway

This was yesterday. I decided I had time on the way home from the On the Farm vendor event to do a quick hike. Pentwater Pathway was right on the way. Nice late afternoon light on the pathway. Some trees beginning to turn yellow.

There are several open areas where the sun can brighten up spaces beyond the trees.

Look at the size of these sassafras leaves! I guess I should have put my foot in for scale, but they are pretty big for sassafras.

I like what the Oceana Cross-Country Ski Association has done with the benches. They are made of old skis!

I didn't think I had time before dark to do the outer six-mile loop. And I was hungry. I was hoping the inner loop would be three, but it measured 2.6 on my tracker. I guess I could have done just enough more to get to three, but I decided it was good enough.

And I did one other tiny "adventure" yesterday that I'll share tomorrow unless something stunning turns up.

Miles hiked in 2025: 391.8
