Found Some Color

I only had time for a short hike before bell practice today. Found some trees starting to look autumnal. This is in the lawn of the Methodist Church. There are several, and they are beautiful although I'm sorry to say that I'm pretty sure they are Bradford Pear.

I did some of the School Forest trails that are north of Bryant Road. These connect to the Methodist Church trails that I hiked last week.

Sassafras usually turns yellow in the fall, but once in a while there will be an orange or red one. This is getting to be a lovely salmon.

Some brilliant red maples among the white pine.

And this splash of bright orange.

It was an exceptionally busy day. I edited, and then the washer repairman came in the morning, and once again he was able to fix our 48-year-old washing machine. I spent the time being his go-fer and assisting as needed.

Then lunch, and then I spent all the early afternoon doing a personal paperwork thing that has to be completed. I think I'll have it ALL done tomorrow.

This left me just time to take a short hike before bell practice, and then there was practice. Didn't eat until after that. Long day, good day, but wow. I'm going to go relax next.

Miles hiked in 2025: 393.8
