Sun and Wind

If there is one thing that those of us in Michigan really long for lately it's S-U-N. Oh, it was wonderful today. Even though it was also so very cold we just had to go out. I don't have a very good way to take video and this is very short, but it really shows how the wind makes all those wonderful patterns in the snow. I was standing still- all the movement is the snow blown by the wind.

And at the end of the day... well, it happens every day, but it's so very nice to actually see it.

This is great stuff. The blue sky in the top picture helps brighten up the gloominess of winter.

I'm always surprised, I don't think I'm feeling glum, and then the sun shines, and I realize how much better everything feels!

Love the sunset! It is redeeming to see the sun, isn't it?

Thanks, Lin... there are millions of sunset pics- everyone has a few good ones, and this was nothing spectacular. But... as you imply... it was MY sunset for today, and it redeemed the day!

I've been very fortunate to have had some lovely bright days to go with the cold winter. Nowhere like your winter, but cold enough for me. I love pictures of snow, and to have a beautiful sunset to go with it make it very special.

Thanks A- we are back to snow falling like powdered sugar today. Heading outside right now!

You've got that right, I would love to see the sun. I've had enough snow.

A friend in Georgia said that they are cold and expecting snow. I think it's WINTER.
