This is the fourth place. It was clearly not up to par for the rest of the competition. It's titled "L'evento Milan" on the Via Monte Napoleone. They invite: "indulge on the cutting edge pasticceria (pastry)."
The judges said, "The pastry theme was a delicious idea but there is a struggle with the execution."
Third place went to an entry created by art students (with adult help I'm sure). Title- "Resiliencia en Puerto Rico," on the Calle de la Forteleza. They said, "take shelter... and be sure to stock up on rain gear."
The judges said, "Playful and colorful, but the placement of items along walls lacks rhythm and depth."
Second place was spectacular, and I'll tell you up front that the judges wanted more lighting. If the entry had better light, I think the judges would have had a harder time picking first and second, although when you see first place, well... they are both great.
This is "Frame to Table," on Portobello Road. "Framed artwork and vintage earthenware honor the neighborhood farmer' market roots."
The judges said it had excellent arrangement and was beautifully layered. Their only negative was that it needed more light.
First place was the clear winner. It was so bright and so much fun. Everyone loved it. There was a crowd of people stopping to look. Title "Bark Avenue Doggie Day Spa," on Park Avenue. They said "Pawsitively luxurious experiences for very important pups."
The judges said, "Fun, frolicsome, and fabulous."
Note that the dogs are all made of plant material.
Did a fair amount of work, walked 3 miles, had bell practice, and went grocery shopping. Not too shabby.
Miles hiked in 2025: 65.9.
Ludington School Forest, various trails, 3 miles

I honestly loved the third place entry but you are right first place is clear winner. That one is amazing.
Ann- they did everything right!
Lulu: "An arrangement with flower dogs? How could it NOT win?"
