Two Salmon Sunbursts
This morning's sky, and my salmon poppy. With severe thunderstorms happening, this was probably the one day I'll get to see it looking nice. Thunder! Gotta get off.
The post-storm skies are among my favorite times to take outdoor pictures. There's often an electric kind of light and clarity. Your cloud/sky picture is fabulous!
The sky shot is absolutely breathtaking. And I would love to have a yard full of those salmon poppies. It's a shame how quickly a torrential rainstorm decimates flowers!

yeah, thunder, gotta get off. it's a very pretty sky shot. and the salmon poppy is beautiful.
Gorgeous colour! Catching up on your posts. That solar car would work well here in Cyprus.
This could almost be my backyard, apart from the salmon poppy.
Is thunder dangerous to computers?
Both spectacular images.
g o r g e o u s !
Wow, what a wonderful sky. Perfect timing too. Sunbursts at all angles. Love it!
betchai- I think this might be one of my best ever sky shots.
Glynis- thanks for enjoying my blog enough to do that. Maybe someday we'll all be driving solar.
John- we have wireless, and thunderstorms have blown out 3 routers so far. They seem to be very sensitive.
Chuck- I didn't even plan how well they went together until it was time to post.
Ro- Thanks!
Lauren- You are the "Ancient Digger" right? Wow! Thanks for stopping by. I love your blog.
both of them are gorgeous. Love that sky

Ann- Who can believe that I happened to look out the window at the right time. It lasted about 2 minutes.
Ferd- It's really growing on me. Maybe I'll make it my wallpaper.

Carmen- That poor poppy manages one or two blossoms a year. It was a gift from a friend. It doesn't seem to thrive like the orange poppies.
