An Extra Rest Day - Day 66

The county was still on level 3 emergency- no going anywhere unless you have to. The ice was lovely but it brought down lots of trees. ice on farm buildings

A tree fell across our hosts' driveway, and Jeff was out cleaning up and doing other chores all morning. The animals didn't think it was any big deal. Toby liked giving me kisses. dog licking woman

Meg just said, "Hey, when is it my turn? I want to play ball." border collie

We had power until almost dinner time, but then it went out. With a generator and lanterns all was well. We settled in to play some games, and the power came back on later in the evening.

We are getting ready to go out and try a short hiking day today.

I'm so glad you found a spot with Jeff and Kathy. I've known them for decades--maybe it's half a century by now! They've had an interesting life. . . get them to tell you about it.

Nice that you had a good spot to stay for the down time. Having a cute fur baby to hang out with is a plus.
