Even I can't quite decide if this is art or junk. Since the pictures were taken on a gray day, the one thing you can't tell is that there are lots of bits of glass or metal or both worked into the entire display so that in the sunshine, everything glitters.
It consists of driftwood, rocks, small statues, doo-dads, flags, scrap metal, glass beads, pretty much you-name-it. It seems to prove the theory that if you have enough of something it becomes a collection. Interspersed throughout are nice plantings of bushes and perennials.
Whimsical? Artistic? Just stupid? A junkyard? Take your pick, but it's certainly a conversation starter.
The flood advisory is ending late this evening. We went and looked at several creeks, and apart from the fact that the trail is going to be really muddy, there doesn't seem to be any reason not to hike tomorrow. The rain is tapering off. For a while this afternoon, I wasn't sure. The rain was hard and steady. I'm preparing to wake up to a hiking day.

I suppose it would depend on the person as to how they view this. I don't know if I would want it in my front yard but it sure is interesting. I would like to see this in person.

Yeah not art according to Harriet Quarles. She said a state representative lives here. The north shore has some unique people. That makes it special in so many ways.
Is this a depository for all the trash from beach clean-ups?
