Philadelphia Flower Show 2013- Vertical Garden

There is still SO much to show you from the flower show, but I'm beginning to feel as if I'm neglecting the fun things happening nearby. today a very young buck deer came within 20 feet of the back door. While we were watching him through the window he turned to face us and began stamping his hooves! I guess he thinks the back yard is his.

Thinking of other wildlife we have too much of... rabbits for example. I really liked the looks of this vertical garden at the flower show. If I built it along one wall of the deck none of the critters could help themselves (except maybe precocious birds).

The frame could be built of scrap wood. I'm sure there are DIY instructions available on line.

Along the base of this garden were pots filled with herbs, more veggies and just some plants for interest.

I don't know if I'd actually get around to doing this, but it sure looks yummy.

The only downfall is the watering. With all those containers, you'd be watering all time. They sure are pretty to look at though.

I love the looks of it but like Lin said I imagine lots of watering involved which for me equals dead plants.
This looks like the perfect project for old pallets though
