Who Says there's No Free Lunch?

Today was busy, so all you get is this- look between the shadows and you'll find tracks that show how the squirrels and rabbits have been visiting the compost pile buffet.

tracks and shadows

PS. The mouse in the kitchen likes bananas. Can't leave them on the counter any more!

In other news: Did some writing for North Star. Did some work for the Long Distance Hiker's Committee. Interviewed a guy for my next Get Off the Couch column. Handbell practice. Writers' group (they are loving the kid's books). That was plenty!

Must have some good food at that compost pile. The view is good but I bet it gets a bit drafty :)

Our yard is full of tracks...from this feeder to that one....and back again. We are keeping them fed and watered to survive the cold.
