Goodbye to Bill, 3700 for Sue - Day 104

Today was Bill's last day with me for now. He's been a great hiking companion. friends

He took us out for a very nice dinner. restaurant meal

While we were waiting for the restaurant to open, we helped Sue with her hobby which is Geocaching. She found one in a cemetery and another in a parking lot, but her total number was very unsatisfactory. So we told her she had to get one more. We drove a few miles, and... Got it! finding a geocache

Now the number is much nicer! 3700 total geocache finds. Yeah, Sue! 3700 geocaches

Oh yeah, we hiked a bunch of rural miles too. farm scene

Miles today: 15.2. Total miles so far: 1347.8

I had a friend who did geocaching but she didn't have an impressive record like Sue.

Ann and JQ- Sue has been doing it a lot of years. She likes going new places because she's got all the ones near home.

I will not ever forget meeting Bill. He unexpectedly came down the trail at MacQuarrie Wetlands as I was beginning some work on the Spruce Point Campsite. I didn’t think there was anyone around for miles. What a nice chance to meet, and chew some trail fat.
