Resting and Hosts - Day 97

Today was technically a day of rest, although we did hike 3 miles to make the logistics for the next two days more workable. The rain stopped, so we hustled out to the trail. Hah! A squall line moved through and we got soaked. The wind gusted so hard that two limbs fell across the road and we had to move them so Sue could drive us back to where we are staying. One rather scary thing was that a power line broke loose and was whipping free across the road (but about 20 feet in the air). We gave it wide berth.

Anyway, we finished our 3 miles and returned to a yummy crock-pot dinner in the trailer that Sue put together.

A shout-out to our last two hosts. Dave and Sarah in Lowell, Ohio. friends

The main portion of their house is a beautiful log cabin built in 1825! log cabin

They are the couple who hosted the dinner where I met my blogging friend. buffet dinner

Then we moved to Woodsfield, where we were hosted by Matthew. smiling man

Lulu: "Oh geez! An electric whip? That sounds like something a supervillain would be waving around. Glad you got past it safely!"
