Oops

So, I accidentally deleted this blog from Technorati. Now, I'm not sure why I care, since there isn't a single one of their categories that is an even remotely good match for the content of this blog. That means that this blog perpetually looks like it's a "loser" in authority, when it's simply not a good match for the very limited list of Technorati categories.

But, I just like beating dead horses, I guess. So I'm entering a new claim code. EA7YKBQPND22

Is Technorati worthwhile? Did it send you even one visitor? I listed my blogs but I'm not really sure what the benefit is :-(

I listed my blog with Technorati way back and I don't know that it has done any good.

I don't think I have ever received any visitors from Technorati. But, I guess it is supposed to help you some way.

Although, after taking off almost a year my authority dropped from in the hundreds down to 1.

Now I think it is back up to 8. But, the changes they have made make it almost impossible for me to find my rank.

Wow, I didn't even think to try to find categories and see where I am in those.

No worries here I will favor you again when you get your new button.
I don't know how to do it just with the number!
Happy Saturday,
Jackie:-)

I don't even know what that is! Guess I'm out of the loop.

I have heard about Technorati, but have not tried using it all.

John, Lin, betchai- Technorati is one tool for bloggers to try to get more visitors. They assign an "authority" rank and in some circles, this status counts for something. But if your blog is out of their categories.

Ann, Jackie- yeah, I don't think it's really helped me much, but who knows?

I don't get it, either. It's interesting to watch and try to second guess, but otherwise it's not really a useful tool for me. I think it helps anyone who's not in the top 10 because, really, with all there is to read out there, who really gets down to 28354 (my spot today), and what does the authority ranking do for you? I'm at 126 today, but my other blog, on which I've not posted an entry in months, it at 1. When I check out my blog stats, there are no hits coming directly from Technorati for either blog.
