Getting Acquainted - Day 14

Bill and I were getting acquainted with the wildlife. two people and a deer head

Actually, the deer had lost its head, but we hadn't yet lost ours. We thought it was pretty hilarious. Bill and Bob hiked with me today. We all knew each other slightly, but we got much better acquainted today. hikers at a trailhead

There is a new campsite just off the trail at the south end of Barry State Game Area. It's always great to see new features and facilities that are added to help hikers. campsite

After a bit of road walking, Bill got acquainted with an extra office chair that had been conveniently left by the road. hiker in an office chair by the road

Sometimes its fun when the trail is familiar! 25 years ago, Mathilda and I rested in this same pavilion in Prairieville. Prairieville pavilion

The afternoon warmed to the mid 50s, although a cool wind encouraged us to keep hands and heads covered. It was awesome to see beautiful green fields in December. green fields

These two little ponies are certainly pets. They came right over to the fence to say hello! ponies

We finished in really good time. The guys kept me moving right along!

Miles for today: 15.5. Total miles so far 200.5!
