Winter Patterns

Took a long road walk today. All pieces I've seen before but I did walk some of it in a different direction. There's always a surprise or two. I guess this tree was surprised to see me. surprised face in tree

This reminds me of those paintings where there are animals- horses, or wild animals- hidden in a snowy landscape. However, if you find any, I think it will just be your imagination. It's just a snow-covered pile of dirt. snow covered dirt

The yellow-bellied sapsucker has been busy on this tree. I don't see the birds very often, but they are obviously around.

The corn stubble is always good for a pattern in the fields. corn stubble

If this is a pattern, I guess it's a fractal pattern. But I do like snow caught on the branches of trees. tree with snow

In other news: Well, I did some editing. Guess that's about it.

I like the surprised look on the tree. That other one sure is a popular spot for the yellow bellied sapsucker.

Lulu: "Hmm, you would think that by the time it gets to be that size a tree would have seen it all, but I guess not ..."

You found good stuff!! I cracked up at the tree. And the corn in the field looks like my calligraphy practice sheets. LOVE the holes in the tree. Is there anything left in there??!

Ann- I get such a kick out of faces in trees!

Lulu- Apparently, there is always someone crazy passing by.

Lin- I love natural things that look like calligraphy. I was thinking computer punch card, myself

Stew- Thanks. You can almost always find things, but maybe not ones worth saving in pixels.
